Deborah Luepnitz We visited Carl and Helen over the Thanksgiving holiday this past week and Carl ever so gently pointed out the incorrect spelling. Sorry, Carl! How was I to know that Adolf was a derivative of the German name Adolphus that Adolf Hitler contrived. So, for all of you who did not already know, Carl's middle name is Adolphus (or Adolph, for short).

And, I would like to take a moment to say something I could not say during the party. For those of you who could not make it to the party, everyone had a chance to come up to the microphone and share a special memory of Carl, or word of encouragement. I came up with Lenora, but due to the emotion of the moment, there was no way I could have gotten this out. So, please allow me to share that I don't know of a more humble, gentle, or Godly man than Carl. He has been a grandfather to me as much as he has been to Lenora, and I am so blessed to be part of his family.
